Abbeville— A visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 for Leo Paul Abshire, 76, who died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Meaux Abshire of Abbeville; sons, Jody Lee Abshire of Houston, Brad Charles Abshire of Abbeville and Chad Roy Abshire and wife Tracy of Abbeville; daughters, Jacqueline A. Hebert and husband Charles of Abbeville, Renée LaPointe and husband Mark of Maurice and Andrea A. Cormier and husband Lennis of Maurice; brothers, Adam Abshire, Jr. and wife Jenny of Abbeville and Truman Abshire and wife Lona of Abbeville; sisters, Stella Duhon of Abbeville and Eve Richard of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren, Brandon LeBouef, Brady LeBouef, Brittany LeBouef, Blake Hebert, Barrett Hebert, Paul Jacob Abshire, Brennan LaPointe, Bryson LaPointe, Matthew Campbell, Trent Abshire, Jordan Abshire, Derek Abshire, Kristopher Abshire and Tre Abshire; and great grandchildren, Brent LeBouef, Bradyn LaBouef and Brynn LeBouef.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam and Alicia Thibeaux Abshire, sons, Paul Brent Abshire and Clinton Lee Abshire; brothers, Alfred Abshire, Alex Abshire and Otis Abshire; and sisters, Alice LeBlanc, Bernice Duhon, Jeanne Schexnaider and Rosa Roche.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
