L. Charles Doucet

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of L. Charles Doucet, 79, who died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

Mr. Doucet served with the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957 as a mechanic who worked on planes.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carrie E. "Pete" Doucet, of Kaplan; three daughters, Rose and her husband William Comeaux of Moss Bluff, Lisa and her husband Troy Carline of Prairieville, and Ellen Doucet of Duson; one sister, Elaine Landry of Estherwood; one brother Judge Ned "Eddie" Doucet; and five grandchildren, Phillip Comeaux, Holly Comeaux, Camille Carline, Colleen Carline, and Claire Carline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned Doucet Sr. and Zulma Mary Clostio Doucet; three brothers, Earl Doucet, Elton Doucet, and Lawrence Paul "L.P." Doucet; and three sisters, Mary Bertha Segura, Lou Alice Hebert, and Shirley Hudson.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until the procession departs for church.
