Annie Hoffman Shanks

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Annie Hoffman Shanks, 92, who died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Steve P. Delino officiating the services. Pallbearers are Tyler Graham, Steven Delino, Joshua Pool, Jimmy Delino, Jason Otterstatter and Jeremy Graham. Honorary pallbearers are John Graham, Chris Almond and Adam Almond.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Graham and husband Jimmy D. "Pappy" of Abbeville; sister, Margie Campbell of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Ricky Graham and wife Mary of Lafayette, John Graham of Abbeville, Donna Graham of Abbeville, Sheila G. Delino and husband Steve of Abbeville, Belinda G. Pool and husband Therran of Abbeville, Gina A. Ingle and husband Terry of Carlisle, AR and Chris Almond of Wichita, KS; seventeen great grandchildren and twenty two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Clinton Hoffman; mother, Lula Shannon Hoffman; daughter, Patsy Nell Almond; first husband, Earl T. Ranels; former husband, Ernest F. Shanks; brothers, Arley, Ernest, Wilburn, Clarence, Lloyd, Ivy and Hugh Hoffman; sisters, Cora Garrett and Jaunita Stockton.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; reopen on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 8:00 a.m until time of services.
