Lorena "Maw Maw Gum" Landry Guidry

July 6, 1916 — June 23, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lorena Guidry, 95, who died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Doyce Guidry and his wife, Berley of Kaplan; one daughter, Jackie and her husband, Mike Morgan of Youngsville; one sister, Louisabelle "Belle" Guillot of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Cindy Stevens, Maxine Guidry, Tex Guidry, Yvette Frederick, Darnell Champagne, Sherri Guidry, Shane Guidry, Leah Hall and Dane Morgan; eleven great grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Guidry; six sisters, Grace Lege, Yolande Hebert, Noemie Boudreaux, Anna Comeaux, Una Broussard, Odette Hebert; and four brothers, Lucien, Donald, Herman and Otis Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, June 26, from 8 a.m. until services.
