Georgia Pierce Broussard

October 27, 1930 — July 1, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Esther Baptist Church honoring the life of Georgia Pierce Broussard, 81, who died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Eastridge Nursing Center.

She will be laid to rest at Esther Community Cemetery with Rev. Wallace Primeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Stephan Mouton, Troy Holden, Steve Mouton, Barry Pierce, William Appel and Mark Warszawski.

She is survived by her son, Russell Fruge and his wife, Janice of Denham Springs; daughter, Maureen Mouton and her husband, Steve of Houston; grandsons, Stephan Mouton and his wife, Anne of Midland, TX and Troy Holden and his wife, Amanda of Baton Rouge; great grandchildren, Andrew Mouton, Parker Mouton, Emma Mouton, Ty Holden and Tristan Holden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene Pierce and the former Rebecca Guidry; brothers, Casey Pierce and Maxie Pierce; sisters, Maudry P. Appel and Sadie Warszawski; and half brothers, George Hollis Theall and Weston Theall.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
