Elite David Landry

September 24, 1910 — October 13, 2007

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2007 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the loving life of Elite David Landry, 97, who died October 13, 2007 at a Maison du Monde Nursing Home.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. Greg Chauvin officiating the services.
Mrs. Landry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had devoted her life to her family.
She is loved and survived by her two sons, C. Craig and wife Sherry Hebert Landry of Perry and A. W. “Butch” and wife Fran Thibodeaux Landry Jr. of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Chris and wife Lory Frioux Landry of New Iberia, Lorraine and husband Etienne “Sonny” Gros of Bayou L’Ourse, James Craig Landry of Lafayette, Jonathan Craig Landy and friend Hope Stubbs of Baton Rouge, Joshua Craig Landry of Perry and friend Lauren Fontenot of Lafayette, and Jacob Craig Landry of Lafayette; a great granddaughter, Taylor Landry; a future great grandchild due in the spring, and a brother, Dudley David of St. Martinville.
She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Wilson “Dub” Landry Sr.; parents Mr. and Mrs. Wiley and Erita Hebert David; six brothers, Clemile “Vieux”, Elie, Minos, Dalton, Randolph and Elva David; two sisters, Eunice Broussard and her twin sister Elitess David.
Pallbearers include her five grandsons; Chris, James, Jonathan, Joshua, Jacob Landry and her grandson-in-law “Sonny” Gros.
Family request that visitation be held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. and reopen on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 8 a.m. until service times.
