Geneva "Neva" H. Lapointe

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Geneva H. LaPointe, 61, who died Monday, July 16, 2012 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend D. Blaine Clement officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dickey W. LaPointe of Kaplan; three sons, Darwin Paul LaPointe and his partner, Michael of Erath, Chad LaPointe and his wife, Anna of Erath, and Brent LaPointe and his wife, Tabitha of Crowley; one daughter, Shantell L. and her husband, Greg LaSalle of Morgan City; her mother, Olite Gaspard of Kaplan; one sister, JoAnn Hargrave Mire of Kaplan; halfbrother, James Hargrave of Forked Island; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Evest "Dobb" Hargrave; and one daughter, Lynn LaPointe Farris.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, July 18, from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
