Rosalie “Pap” Vincent

December 6, 1932 — July 25, 2012

Abbeville— Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Vermilion Full Gospel Tabernacle honoring the life of Rosalie “Pap” Melancon Vincent, 79, who died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chistopher Vincent, David Wolf, Richard Vincent, Michael Vincent, Whitney Vincent and Paul Romero II. Honorary pallbearer is James Vincent.

“Pap” was a loving mother,grandmother and a true friend to everyone that knew her. She loved to spend her days cooking, ironing and “running the roads” visiting family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, James Vincent of Abbeville, Whitney Vincent and wife Sandra of Abbeville, Richard W. Vincent and wife Jacqui of Lafayette and Michael K. Vincent of Abbeville; daughter, Jeanne Wolf and husband David of Abbeville; sisters, Joyce McCullen of Youngsville, Wilda Gary of Abbeville, Dean Frederick of Abbeville, Genell West of Lafayette, Lois Campisi of Abbeville and Melba Adams of Vinton; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel Melancon and the former Effie Broussard; husband, Ernest Vincent; great grandchild, Michael Romero; sisters, Hazel Griffin and Velta Babineaux; and brothers, Minest Melancon and Whitney Melancon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vermilion Full Gospel Tabernacle, 210 S. Saint Valerie Street, on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
