Abbeville—Dorothy M. Klorer passed away peacefully at her home on July 25, 2012 in Abbeville, LA. Dorothy was born May, 20, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed her “family” at her Eastridge Assisted Living home, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, who put family first, and had a deep and abiding faith in our Lord and Savior.

She always enjoyed a trip to the casino, eating out with family, and bingo with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, C. James “Jim” Klorer, her mother and father, Anna Barva Micenic and Adam Micenic, sister Rosemarie Molnar, brother Richard Micenic, and grandson Sean Owens.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Robert Micenic of Toledo, Ohio, daughter’s Lynn Klorer Owens of Raleigh, NC., Sue Jolman of Lafayette, LA, Robyn Higginbotham and her husband Shawn of Houston, TX. Son’s, Jeff Klorer and his wife Gwen of Abbeville, LA, Mike Klorer and his wife Cyndi of League City, TX, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She will be missed by all who knew her and welcomed by all who precede her into our Father’s house. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hearts of Hospice, Leading Care, and Eastridge Assisted Living Center for all of the caring, loving people whom helped her and the family over the last few months.

A memorial service will be held at Thanksgiving when all of the family gathers every year in Abbeville.
