We give special thanks to the ‘caregiver angels’ who cared for her at the end of her life: Lou Landry, Penney Brailey, Mary Lee Thompson, Leona Brailey, Dorienne Sherrer and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana. We also want to thank Liz Landry, her friend and hairdresser, who tended to her weekly after she was homebound and her devoted friends of forty years who continued to play cards together in her home when she was no longer ambulatory.
She worshipped with the community at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and was faithful to Perpetual Adoration devotion from its inception in the parish until her physical disability prevented participation.
Our mother’s life was defined by her commitment to her faith, her family and her friends. We were blessed with the grace of her loving, generous spirit. We hope to continue to live out the values she taught us.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Hospice of Acadiana.
