Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Ludy Duhon, 85, who died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend D. Blaine Clement officiating the services. Serving as active pallbearers are Darren, Brendon and Zachary Dubois, Blake Duhon, Rodney Primeaux, and Dexter Stelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Payton and Andre' Gaspard.
Ludy was a lifelong resident of Kaplan, born on October 20, 1926 to the late Elier and Anna Woods Mire. Mrs. Duhon was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by one son, Mark D. Duhon and his wife, Charlotte of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Darren Dubois and his wife, Eve, Brendon Dubois, Heidi D. and her husband, Blake Lavergne, and Blake Duhon all of Kaplan; seven great grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Dubois, Payton and Andre' Gaspard, and Mia, Molly, and Madelyn Lavergne, all of Kaplan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodley Duhon; one daughter, Carolyn D. Dubois; and one granddaughter, Camille D. Gaspard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
