Everett James Broussard, Sr.

September 10, 1940 — August 10, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012 , at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church honoring the life of Everett James Broussard, Sr., 71, who died Friday, August 10, 2012 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at Esther Community Cemetery. Pallbearers include William Apple, Josh Clark, Buddy Clark, Ryan Broussard, Taylor Viator and Sean Broussard.

Mr. Broussard’s hobbies included putting puzzles together, playing solitaire on his computer, watching westerns and telling jokes. He truly enjoyed the time he spent walking his dog, Susie.

He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Bonnie Lou Hebert Broussard of Mouton Cove; son, Everett James Broussard and wife Roxanne of Erath; daughters, Angelina Broussard and Salina Broussard both of Mouton Cove; brother, Carol Broussard and wife Alexis of Delcambre; sister, Rachael B. Clark and husband Buddy of Delcambre; brother-in-law, Robert LeBlanc of Delcambre; and grandchildren, Ryan Broussard and Cecily Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Senua Broussard and the former Levonne Landry; and a sister, Geneva "Sis" LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, August 13, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
