Marie "Jackie" Boutte Taylor

July 4, 1934 — August 13, 2012

ABBEVILLE — Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at a 2:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Marie "Jackie" Boutte Taylor, 78, who passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at 12:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Jackie was a member of the Woman's Club of Abbeville and the Omelette Confrerie. She was a tour guide for historic sites in the City of Abbeville. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and a Eucharist minister for the homebound. Jackie was the former director of the Christian Service Center. She was a member of The Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (also known as Lay Carmelites).

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Taylor of Abbeville, LA; sister-in-law, June Boutte of Clinton, LA; brother-in-law, Emery Baudoin of Houston, TX; four children, Suzanne Johnson and husband, Glen of Lakeland, TN, Toni Taylor Young of Bozeman, MT, Albert Taylor and wife, Sheri of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Maggie Taylor of Abbeville, LA; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Bailey and husband, Tony of Youngsville, LA, Gary Johnson and wife, Ciara of Newport Beach, CA, Zac Taylor of Arcadia, LA, Hunter Taylor of Tampa, FL, Jessa Taylor of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Taylor Wilson of Abbeville, LA, Josh Wilson of Abbeville, LA, Graham Young of Bozeman, MT, Matt Wilson of Abbeville, LA, and Mike Broussard of Abbeville, LA; three great grandchildren, Abigail Bailey, Bradleigh Bailey and Katlyn Bailey all of Youngsville, LA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Antoinette Boutte; brothers, Lester Boutte and Durwood Boutte; and sisters, Margie Baudoin and Johnnie Jordon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles Street, Abbeville, on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, August 15, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.

The family would like to give special thanks to Our Lady of Lourdes nursing staff, Dr. A. Gupta and staff, Dr. J. Cole and staff, Dr. J. Krawczyk and Oncologic Staff and Dr. N. Romeo.
