James "Jim" Hebert

October 30, 1943 — August 14, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of James Joseph Hebert, 68, who died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Kendal Faulk officiating the services.

He is survived by three sons, Jonathan Hebert and his wife, Cindy of New Iberia, Damon Hebert of Erath, and Jason Hebert and his wife, Shontelle of Erath; two daughters, Shawn Hargrave and her companion, Lee Richard of Youngsville and Jennifer and her husband, Raymond Broussard of Lake Arthur; three sisters, Emily Darby of Pearland, Texas, Marilyn Darby of Sulphur, and Gladys Hogue of Kaplan; two brothers, Edward Hebert of Abbeville and Paul Hebert of Sulphur; and eleven grandchildren, Marissa and Brett Hebert, Haille Hotard, Melanie, Blake and Logan Broussard, Gabriella, Saul and Spence Hebert, Ethan Goutierrez, and Kaius Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Clostio Hebert; parents, Saul Hebert and the former, Alzina Desormeaux; and two brothers, Leo Hebert Sr. and Harold Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, August 16, from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
