Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Verlene Rose Touchet, 70, who died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend D. Blaine Clement officiating the services.

She is survived by three sons, Woodie Touchet and his wife, Ella L., Lawson "Joe" Touchet and his wife, Melissa G., and Carlton Touchet, all of Kaplan; one daughter, Sheila Schexnider and her husband, Chad of Broussard; one brother, Jimmie Schexnayder of Kaplan; ten grandchlidren; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lovelis Touchet; one sister, Mary Buford; and one brother, Floyd Schexnayder.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, August 31, 2012 from 8 a.m. until services.
