Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Howard Joseph Toups, 86, who died Friday, September 7, 2012 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Harrington Cemetery with Deacon Byron Soley officiating the services.

He is survived by two sons, Gerald Toups and James Toups, both of Cow Island; one daughter, Barbara White of Cow Island; one sister, Winnie T. Mayard of Kaplan; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes D. Toups; his daughters, Anna T. Hargrave and Jeanette Toups; his parents, Noah Toups and the former Annie Stelly; one brother, Herbert Toups; and one sister, Codrey Guidry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, September 10, from 8 a.m. until services.
