Shelby Dean Miguez Bares

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church honoring the life of Shelby Dean Miguez Bares, 74, who died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

She will be laid to rest at LeBlanc Community Cemetery with Father Kendall Faulk officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Kevin Bares, Farrell Bares, Shawn Bares, Ryan Bares, Blake Bares and Spencer Bares. Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Bares and Bailey Bares.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Bares of Maurice; three sons, Kevin Bares of Lafayette, Farrell Bares and his wife, Janet of Maurice, and Shawn Bares and his companion, Shannon Elias of Broussard; nine grandchildren, Keshia Etheridge and her husband, Chris, Ryan Bares and his wife, Laura, Blake Bares, Andre Bares, Mitchell Bares, Benjamin Bares, Spencer Bares, Matthew Bares and Bailey Bares; and two great grandchildren, Tyler Bares and Collin Etheridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Miguez and the former Evie LeBlanc; and son, Melvin Bares.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, September, 14, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
