Dorothy Elaine Burleigh Thibodeaux

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Dorothy Elaine Thibodeaux, 87, who died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

She is survived by three sons, James O. Burleigh Jr. and his wife Diane of Zwolle, Dwain Burleigh and his wife Brenda of Kaplan and Keith Burleigh of Kaplan; two daughters, Ruetta Noel of Broussard and Connie Burleigh and her partner Myra Wilkes of Cedar Parks, Texas; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James O. Burleigh Sr.; two sisters, Margaret Miller and Yvonne Deville and her parents, Antoine Latiolias and the former Lela Odom.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Tuesday, September 18, from 8 a.m. until services.
