Joseph Woodley Clark

February 18, 1944 — November 3, 2007

Funeral services will be held, Monday November 5, 2007, at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, honoring the life of Joseph Woodley Clark, 63, who died Saturday November 3rd at his residence in Maurice. He will be laid to rest in St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Father Gary Schexnayder officiating. Pallbearers will be Alfred Jude Vincent, Mark A. Broussard, Karl Meaux, James Mouton, Jessie Frederick and Gregory Brasseaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Percy Bernard, Charles E. Brasseaux, Bob Case, Mark Mitchell, Stuart Frederick and Billy Broussard.
Lectors for the service will be Lewis B. Bernard and Charlene Sellers Bernard.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Frederick Clark of Maurice; daughter, Stephanie Clark Broussard and her husband, Mark of Maurice; mother, Ethel Broussard Clark; sister, Helen C. Brasseaux and her husband Charles E. “Bubba” of Abbeville and a granddaughter, Alexis Renee Broussard.
He is preceded in death by his father Aurthur Clark.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Sunday, November 4th, from 9:30 a.m. until 9:00p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, November 5th, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Joseph was a member of Woodmen of the World, Maurice Volunteer Fire Department, AAPL and LAPL. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
