Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Louis Desormeaux, 16, who died November 16, 2007. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Deacon Jim Kincel officiating the services. Louis attended North Vermilion High School where he was known by his friends. When not at school, Louis enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially scoring goals on the North Vermilion Youth Soccer field with his sisters, Ashley and Brittany Conner. He is survived by his mother, Annette Desormeaux of Kaplan; adopted parent, Collins James Conner of Abbeville; siblings Brittany Renee’ Conner of Meaux, Ashley Renee’ Conner of Meaux, Travis Dale Hebert of Abbeville, Courtney Choate and her husband David of Milton, and Chadwick Conner and his wife Jessica of Milton; grandparents, Joseph R. Desormeaux and Clara P. Desormeaux of Abbeville; one uncle, John Desormeaux of Abbeville; and three aunts, Sandra Conner of Kaplan, Darlene Gaspard and husband Ricky of Abbeville and Rena C. Hebert of Abbeville. Pallbearers will be John Desormeaux, Collins Conner, Ricky Gaspard, Kelsi Duhon, Blake Bourque and Caleb Blanchard. The family request that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Saturday, November 17th, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, November 18th, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
