Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at a 1 :00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of David Michael Frederick, 57, who died November 18, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. ' David was known for his love of music especially the Beatles. He could be found many weekends reading a good book or listening to his music. He is survived by three sisters, Angela Frederick, Barbara Garner and husband Michael and Shelia Stanley all of Abbeville; four nieces, Danielle Garner, Gabrielle Stanley, Darian Stanley and Bailee Stanley; three nephews, Joshua Garner, Marcus Garner, and Tyler Benoit; and two great nephews, Tyler Garner and Drake Garner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Frederick and the former Rosemary Harcourt. He had a great passion for his students at North Vermilion High School which he affectionately referred to as "his kids". They in turn referred to his as Mr. Fred. He will be remembered for his famous jokes and always putting a smile on your face. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Tuesday, November 20th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, November 21st from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.
