Evia T. Langlinais

February 20, 1920 — October 8, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Evia Langlinais, 92, who died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

She is survived by five sons, Rodney Langlinais of Forked Island, Curtis Langlinais and his wife Ruby of Cow Island, Linus Langlinais of Forked Island, Dalton Langlinais of Sylvester, Georgia, and Elvis Langlinais of Forked Island; two daughters, Gloria and her husband Bradley Chevalier of Forked Island and Denna DeCuir of Abbeville; two sisters, Agnes Hargrave and Nolia Faulk both of Kaplan; one brother, Clifford Touchet of Kaplan; thirty-five grandchildren; fourty-four great grandchildren; and sixteen great-great grandchildren .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Minos Langlinais Sr.; one son, Minos Langlinais Jr.; one daughter, Lena Langlinais; three sisters, Mia Touchet, Olivia Touchet and Aline Dartez and five brothers, Dewey, Rudy, Mayo, Milton and Issac Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until services, a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
