Gloria Gay Miller Veazey

April 8, 1934 — December 12, 2007

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, 2007 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pecan Island honoring the life of Gloria Gay Miller Veazey, 73,who died December 12, 2007 at
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Pecan Isalnd with Reverend Randall Moreau officiating the services.
Gloria was a member of the Dixie Twirlers Square Dance Club.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph Mitchel Veazey of Lafayette, Christopher Twain
Veazey and wife Paula of Pecan
Island, Donnie Luke Veazey and
wife Tina of Maurice and Joel
Marshall Ulyesse Veazey and
wife Deborah of Pecan Island;
four daughters, Suzette
Broussard and husband Dean of
Pecan Island, Karan Veazey
Abshire and husband Dale of
Meaux, Tammy Johnston and
husband John of Port Allen and
Kathy Aline Veazey Frith and
husband Scott of Russellville,
Arkansas; one brother, Everett
Miller and wife Emmaline of
Creole; twenty five
grandchildren; and twenty great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Joseph Marshall
Veazey; parents, Dozeta Miller
and the former Willie Mae
Hebert; two brothers, Alan Miller
and Dennis Miller and two
grandsons, C. Dean Broussard
and Alexander Ulyesse Veazey. The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Thursday, December 13th from
10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with
a rosary to be prayed at 7:00
p.m. Visitation on Friday,
December 14th will be held at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Pecan Island from 9:00 a.m. until
time of services.
