Natley Joseph Mayard

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Natley Joseph Mayard, 96, who died December 13, 2007 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Mausoleum with Reverend Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Preston Harrington, Jr., Tracy Connor, Ryan Mayard, Rusty Mayard, Raleigh Mayard, Jr., and Kern Meyers. The readings from the Old and New Testaments will be read by his niece, Linda Meyers. Giftbearers will be his grandchildren, Amber Lejeune, Kaleb Connor and Trenton Connor. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Dianna) M. Vincent of Erath; one son, Raleigh Mayard and wife Trudy of Mire; four sisters, Mrs. George (Margaret) Trahan, Mrs. Louis (Lucille) Bernard, Mrs. Loleste (Louella) Delcambre and Mrs. Walton (Vernon) "Blondie" Sellers all of Abbeville; six grandchildren, Ramona Vincent of Erath, Mrs. Preston (Salena) Harrington, Jr. of Abbeville, Mrs. Tracy (Kristy) Connor of Maurice, Ryan Mayard of Meaux, Rusty Mayard of Meaux and Raleigh Mayard, Jr. of Texas; eight great grandchildren, Amber Lejeune, Kaleb Connor, Trenton Connor, Abigail Connor, Justin Mayard, Brinkly Mayard, Lilly Mayard and Sarah Mayard; and one great great grandchild, Landon LeJeune. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenny Pullin Mayard; parents, Oliver Mayard and the former Marie Aurore Richard; two brothers, Curtis Meyers and Ira Mayard; and son-in-law, Cecil Vincent. The family wishes to thank the staff of Eastridge Assisted Living for the excellent care they provided.
