April E. Abshire Mayard

May 5, 1978 — November 3, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of April E. Abshire Mayard, 34, who died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry and Reverend William Rogalla officiating the services.

She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Mayard and Lily Elaine Mayard, both of Meaux; her parents, Carl Dean Abshire and Carlos Elaine LeMaire Abshire of Forked Island; one brother, Adam Edward Abshire and Karen Russell of Forked Island; and her paternal grandparents, May Rose and John O. Abshire of Forked Island.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mary LeMaire and Carl LeMaire; one uncle, Johnny LeMaire; and three cousins, Donny DeBlanc, Lerin Abshire, and Jennifer Abshire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from from 9 a.m. until Thursday, November 8, 2012 when the procession departs for the church service at 12:30 p.m.
