Aureen Marie Landry Stelly
April 6, 1947 — January 10, 2008
was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School. She deeply loved her nursing career of over 40 years, which began in 1966 at Abbeville General Hospital and loved the patients she cared for as a Home Health Nurse of over 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, especially crocheting lovely afghans for her family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reule and Juliette Gallet Landry. Left to lovingly cherish her memory are her son, Benjamin Stelly of Abbeville, her brother Carey and Carol Jean Landry of Carmel, Indiana, her sister Cynthia and John Cummings of Sugar Land, Texas, her nephew Steven Landry Cummings of Sugar Land, Texas, nieces Loren Cummings of Springfield, Missouri, Elizabeth Cummings and Julie Cummings Manriquez and her husband, Ryan of Houston, Texas, and great-neice Allison Manriquez of Houston.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles,
Abbeville from 4:00 pm. until 10:00 pm, with a rosary said at 7:30 pm on Friday, January 11, 2008.
