Celestine Abshire Hargrave

January 29, 1933 — November 8, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Celestine Abshire Hargrave, 79, who died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Vermilion Health Care Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

She is survived by four sons, Roger and Kenneth Hargrave of Kaplan, Jerry Hargrave of Erath, and Eric Hargrave of Forked Island; three daughters, Beverly Hargrave LeMaire of Kaplan, Aline Hargrave Hebert of Abbeville, and Peggy Hargrave of Kaplan; three sisters, Nunia Duhon of Abbeville, Annie Touchet of Kaplan, and Aline Lebert of Lake Charles; 24 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Hargrave; daughters, Eula Cormier and Alice Hargrave; son, Douglas Hargrave; her mother, Francoise Duviau; and her father, Colombe Abshire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m.; Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 8 a.m. until services.
