Purvis James Touchet

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at a 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Purvis James Touchet, 56, who died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

He is survived by one daughter, Ashley Hebert of Lafayette; three sons, Andy Dupuis of Walker, Mitchel Touchet of Duson, and John Touchet of Lafayette; his parents, Wallace and Wanda Touchet of Gueydan; two sisters, Lena Currie of Hackberry and Brenda Abshire of Holly Beach; and three brothers, Kenneth Touchet of Lacassine, Ronald Touchet of Anacoco, and Kerry Touchet of Sulphur.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Touchet; and one brother, Darrin Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Thursday, November 22, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, November 23, 2012 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
