Anite Ledet Babineaux

August 25, 1919 — November 29, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Anite Ledet Babineaux, 93, who died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Kelly Trahan, Kaleb Trahan, Kern Broussard, Matt Broussard, Jared Babineaux, and Chris Lopez.

She is survived by her sons, Johnie Babineaux and wife Darlene of Bush, LA, and Tim Babineaux and wife Christine of Henry; daughters, Peggy Babineaux Trahan of Abbeville, and Nancy Babineaux Broussard of Lafayette; sisters, Lucy Ledet Guidry, and Audrey Ledet Broussard; sister-in-law, Gussie Broussard Ledet; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henri Otto Babineaux; father, Maurice Ledet; mother, Laurentia Bergeron Ledet; daughter, Betty Ruth Babineaux; grandson, Andy Broussard; son-in-laws, Lloyd Joseph "LJ" Trahan and Dorsey Broussard; brother, Maurice "Junior" Ledet; sisters, Ella Frederick, Harriet LeBlanc, Laura Frederick and Elise "TooT" Harrington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Maison du Monde Nursing Home and Heart of Hospice for the great care they gave to Mrs. Babineaux.
