Lourse Joseph Touchet

Funeral
services will be held Saturday,
January 26, 2007 at a 10:00
a.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in
St. Mary Magdalen Catholic
Church honoring the life of
Lourse Joseph Touchet, 87, who
died January 23, 2008 at his
residence.
He will be laid to rest at St.
Mary Magdalen Mausoleum with
Reverend William Blanda
officiating the services.
Lourse was a rice farmer all
of his life. He was a veteran of
the United States Army who
served our country during World
War II including the Battle of the
Bulge. He was a member of the
Alley Boys of Abbeville who
recorded the very first French
music in Nashville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife,
Marie Louise Trahan Touchet;
one daughter, Carolyn T. Savoy
and her husband Leonard of
Sunset; one brother, Eldes
Touchet; two sisters, Mildred T.
Hebert and Joyce Lou T.
Baudoin both of Abbeville; and
three grandchildren, Angela
Kirkpatrick, Leonard David
Savoy, II and Leigh Anne Savoy.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Arnauld "Arno"
Touchet and the former Cebil
"Ceba" Lege; two brothers, Linus
Touchet and Wilbert Touchet;
and one sister, Lelias T.
Broussard.
The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Friday, January 25th from 2:00
p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday,
January 26th from 8:00 a.m. until
9:30 a.m. when the procession
will depart for the church.
