Mass of Christian Burial in St.
Mary Magdalen Catholic Church
honoring the life of Marie Alix
Frederick Meaux, 100, who died
January 22, 2008 at Abbeville
General Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at St.
Mary Magdalen Cemetery with
Father Greg Chauvin officiating
the services.
She is survived by one son,
Lawrence A. Meaux and his wife
Myrna of Abbeville; one
daughter, Florine Lege and her
husband Wilton of Abbeville;
grandchildren, Florence Lege,
Barbara Romero, Theresa
Richard, Eugene Lege, Melinda
Lege, Karl Meaux, Kent Meaux
and Kristy Gahn; thirteen great
grandchildren; and six great
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Amede Meaux;
parents, Lastie Frederick and the
former Emaline Broussard; one
sister, Angela Frederick Meaux;
and brothers, Ledia Frederick,
Angelas Frederick, Lotard
Frederick, Gladu Frederick,
Edes Pierre Frederick, Gabriel
Frederick and an infant brother,
Lawrence Frederick.
The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Wednesday, January 23rd from
4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a
rosary to be at 7:00 p.m.;
Thursday, January 24th from
8:30 a.m. until time of services.
