Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at a 10:00 a. m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Lydie Mary Champagne Jilek 94, who died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Heritage Manor nursing home. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.
She is survived by two sons Jerry Jilek of Lake Hills, TX and Jimmy Jilek and wife Brigida of Abilene TX; a daughter Judy Perez and Husband Frank of San Antonio TX; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alphonse Jilek; her father Celestin Champagne and mother Angelle LeBlanc Champagne; four brothers Ernest, Maxie, Emile, and Amar Champagne; four sisters Florence McCord, Fannie Vincent, Elvina Bailey, and Angeline Boudreaux.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home 209 South Saint Charles St. Monday, January 28th from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday January 29th, from 8:00 am until time of service.
