Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Aline Theriot Meaux, 90, who died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Marc Touchet, Carl Meaux, Joey Meaux, Chris Domingue, Scott Romero and Josh Duhon.
Aline was known for her homemade bread. She was an avid writer and interested in genealogy.
She is survived by her four sons, David Meaux and his wife, Brenda of Tampa, FL, Danny Meaux and his wife, Carlene of Maurice, Joseph Meaux, Jr. of Abbeville, and Robbie Meaux and his wife, Jo Ann of Abbeville; five daughters, Cissi Bares and her husband, Teddy of Youngsville, Mary Delcambre and her husband, Gerryl of Delcambre, Anna Racca and her husband, Bradley of Lafayette, Louise Duhon and her husband, Kerry of Erath, and Laurie Domingue and her husband, Michael of Erath; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Cotchie" Meaux, Sr.; parents, Alexandre Theriot and the former Aline Parks; son, Joseph Elie Meaux; son-in-law, Valois Touchet; daughter-in-law, Kathy Meaux; brothers, George Theriot, A.J. Theriot and Gerald Theriot; and sisters, Alice Broussard and Rosema Plummer.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. and will remain open until time of services on Friday, December 7, 2012. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
