Mable Schexnider David

January 27, 1918 — December 8, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Mable Schexnider David, 94, who died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Maison du Monde Living Center.

She will be laid to rest at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, LA.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie David Menard of Houston TX.; son-in-law, Bob Amuny of Sulphur, LA; six grandchildren, Roxanne Stelly, Billy Amuny, Lana Amuny, Annie Bourque, Nicholas Menard and Christopher Menard; and three great grandchildren, Shawn Stelly, Hannah Amuny and Madison Amuny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford "Man" David; father, Clobule Schexnider; mother, Oliva Harrington Schexnider; two daughters, Flaudry Constance and Codrey Amuny; granddaughter, Jeannie Constance; four brothers, Wilton, Dalton,Alton and Norris Schexnider; and four sisters, Alice Labit, Bernice Luquette, Agnes Meaux and Pearl David.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 12, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 when the procession will depart for church.

Mable’s family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Maison du Monde, Heart of Hospice and her wonderful son-in-law, Bob Amuny.
