Carbert Joseph “Tata” Abshire

November 4, 1942 — December 9, 2012

Abbeville— Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Leroy Community Cemetery honoring the life of Carbert Joseph Abshire, 70, who died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Abbeville General Hospital. Deacon Randy Hyde will be officiating the services.

Mr. Abshire was a maintenance assistant at Meaux school for many years. “TaTa” loved riding his bicycle and visiting with friends. He entered Vermilion Health Care Center in 1999 where he made many new friends.

He is survived by his nephews, Dale Abshire and Wilbert Abshire; and a niece, Phyllis Abshire.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emere Abshire; mother, Ophelie Faulk Abshire; and brother, Junice Abshire.

The family would like to thank Vermilion Health Care Center and Hospice of Acadiana for the love and care they gave Mr. Abshire.
