Aldes "T-Neg" Bertrand

June 11, 1929 — December 10, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Aldes Bertrand, 83, who died Monday, December 10, 2012 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Reverend Gregory Simeon officiating the services.

He is survived by two daughters, Deborah and her husband, Michael Hargrave of Kaplan, Patricia and her husband, Robert Mire of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Jaryd Hargrave and his wife, Tracy, Meagan and her husband, Everette Meaux, Shawn Mire, and Ryan Mire; four great grandchildren, Cole, Isabella, and Abel Hargrave and Kloe Meaux; and his special friend, Mrs. Rose Adams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Curmay Bertrand; parents, Onize Bertrand and the former Edmea Villejoin; one sister, Ida Duhon; and his brother-in-law, Wilfred Duhon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, December 13, from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
