James Leslie "Coach Queb" Quebodeaux

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of James Leslie Quebodeaux, 66, who died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Brannon Quebodeaux, Waylon Quibodeaux, Gerald Mire, Trey Clostio, Zachary Quibodeaux and Kenneth Moore.

A dedicated teacher with Vermilion Parish Schools for 34 years. He was well known as "Coach Queb" to many students and fellow faculty.

He is survived by his son, Brannon Quebodeaux and wife, Michelle of Erath; daughter, Pamela Quebodeaux of Erath; mother, Lucy Andrepont Quebodeaux Rost of Perry; step children, Monica Mire Hebert and husband, Carl of Texas, Michael Scott Mire, and Gerald Wayne Mire and wife, Monica; sisters, Brenda Quebodeaux Meyers of Perry and Barbara Quebodeaux Leonpacker of California; sister-in-law, Charmaine Mouton Quibodeaux; grandchildren, Alexis Michelle Chiasson, Taylor Christine Quebodeaux, Kaylan Nicole Clostio, Trey Mathew Clostio; step grandchildren, Amber Mire, Cody Mire, Lucas Hebert, Dustin Hebert and Hannah Mire.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Decuire Quebodeaux; father, Leslie Quibodeaux; and brother, Paul Louis Quibodeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 19, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
