Joseph Viator

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at an 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Joseph Viator, 98, who died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Neil Viator, Robert Chiasson, Brady Mouton, Jonathan Hotard, Kelly Richard, Ricky Richard and Seth Viator.

He is survived by his son, Roland Joseph Viator and his wife, Barbara of Henry; three grandchildren, Belinda Viator Mouton and her husband, Brady of Abbeville, Lisa Viator Chiasson and her husband, Robert of Henry, and Neil Phillip Viator and his wife, Lucia of Henry; and four great grandchildren, Mindy Chiasson Hotard and her husband, Jonathan, Ellen Chiasson, Kristi Mouton and Seth Viator; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Garber Viator; parents, Philbert Viator and the former Umea Romero; and seven sisters, Etta Viator, Rita Viator, Azeta Viator, Edith Richard, Lilly Viator, Weiza Viator and Nolia Viator.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
