Ethel Trahan Bodin

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mary Ethel Trahan Bodin, 76, who died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Bodin of Maurice; one son, Daniel Greg Bodin of Arkansas; two daughters, Carey Sue Bodin Broussard and her husband, Paul "Boo" of Katy, TX, and Chanda Duhon of Maurice; one brother, Raywood Trahan of Youngsville; three grandchildren, Meredith Broussard Sorokwasz and her husband, Mark of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Broussard Haeder and her husband, Jeff of Fort Worth, TX, and Camryn Duhon of Maurice; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Trahan and the former Edith Touchet; brother, Chester Trahan; and sister, Patsy Trahan Boudreaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, January 11, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
