February 27, 1916 — January 15, 2013

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lillian Daigle Melancon, 96, who died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by five daughters, Martha Ronsonet Louviere and husband, Curtis of Baton Rouge, Dorothy Abshire of Hico, Texas, Wilma Harrington and husband, Chester of Cibolo, Texas, Helen Liner of Kaplan, and Gloria Yanna and husband, George of Erath; thirteen grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Smith Jr.; second husband, Roy Melancon; two sons-in-law, Wayne Ronsonet and Dale Liner; and numerous brothers and sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m.; Saturday, January 19, 2013, from 8 a.m. until services.
