Gladys "Toot" Bourgeois

June 3, 1922 — January 16, 2013

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Gladys Bourgeois, 90, who died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Bourgeois officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffery Bourgeois and his wife, Bonnie of Maurice and Gerald Bourgeois and his wife, Linda of Abbeville; five daughters, Betty and her husband, Carroll Broussard, Brenda and her husband, Harold Broussard, Connie and her husband, Alvin Broussard, Daisy and her husband, Michael Viator, all of Maurice, and Mary and her husband, Michael Trahan of Kaplan; one sister, Gurdy Clostio of Kaplan; one brother, Paul Gaspard of Kaplan; twenty-six grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Belonie Bourgeois; two sons, Guy Lewis "Cowboy" and Robert Ray Bourgeois; and one daughter, Elma Jane Bourgeois.

Special thanks to our sister, Brenda and her husband, Harold for the love and care they gave to our mother. Also thanks to the staff of Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Maurice.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 8 a.m. until services.
