Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Daniel Byrd Hughes, Jr., 59, who died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his residence.

Rev. Robert Wells will be officiating the services.

Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Delcambre Hughes; three sons, Christopher Hughes, Daniel Hughes and Derrian Hughes all of Abbeville; three daughters, Amanda Hughes, Samantha Hughes and Alyssia Hughes all of Abbeville; mother, Patricia McGuire Richard; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
