Minos J. Mayard

ABBEVILLE- Funeral
services will be held Thursday,
February 14, 2008 at a 1 :00 p.m.
. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Minos Joseph Mayard, 88, who died February 12, 2008 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and con-celebrant Reverend Floyd Callais officiating the services.
Minos was a member of the American Legion Post #29 and the Veterans of Foreign Post #4158. He was retired from the Superior Oil Company with over 25 years of service.
He is survived by one daughter, Nara B. Landry and her husband, Ralph of Abbeville; one step son, Roy Guillory and his wife, Marie of Lafayette; grandchildren, Eric Guillory, Shane P. Landry, Jason E. Landry, Deborah Lynn Lanier and John Keith Lanier; great grandchildren, Danielle Chisler, Lauren Landry, Megan Landry, Kyla Guillory, Andre' Landry, Wesley Landry and Alysia Guillory; and three siblings, Sterling Mayard, Beverly Mayard Sellers and J.D. Mayard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Broussard Mayard; parents, Onezephor Mayard and the former Alida Viator; brothers, Fred Mayard, Stu Mayard and Gilbert Mayard; twin sister, Mae Mayard Guidry; step daughter, Shirley Reine; and one grandson, Michael J. Landry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Wednesday, February 13th, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a
rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.;
Thursday, February 14th from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
