Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Joseph W. Miguez, Sr., 76, who died February 15, 2008 at Heritage Manor. He will be laid to rest at Landry Cemetery in Henry with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. He is survived by four sons, Tibby Miguez of Arnouldville, Ricky Miguez of Baton Rouge, Joseph W. Miguez, Jr. of Port Aransas and Mark Miguez of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Marie Jane Miguez of Baton Rouge, Lori Thomas and Niki Sauce; six brothers, Paul Miguez of Abbeville, Wilmer Miguez of Baker, E. Paul Miguez of Meaux, Vernice Miguez, Jr. of Abbeville, Ronnie Miguez of Abbeville and Norris Miguez of Florida; two sisters, Willie Primeaux of Erath and Dorothy Danos of Maurice; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernice Ferdinand Miguez and the former Avia Ortemond; one brother, Eddie Miguez; and one grandson, Shane Miguez. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Saturday, February 16th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, February 17th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
