ABBEVILLE— Private memorial services will be held honoring the life of Ernest Lavell Wadlington, Jr., 88, who died Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Mr. Wadlington served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Lynnette Hall Wadlington; son, Donald R. Wadlington and his wife, Mary; daughters, Sarah Borel, Barbara Doss and Cathy Duhon and her husband, Dexter; special son, C.J. Robichaux; brothers, John Wadlington and wife, Nicole and Paul Wadlington and wife, Martha; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lavell Wadlington, Sr.; mother, Helen Cochran Wadlington; son Ernest Lynn "Pete" Wadlington; and two sisters.
