Carrol Ann O'Brien Broussard

October 30, 1943 — February 2, 2013

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Carrol Ann O'Brien Broussard, 69, who died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Chester Arceneaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 56 years, Clifton Broussard, Sr.; five sons, Darrell Paul Broussard (Mary Louise) of Lafayette, LA, Kevin Broussard (Juanita) of Kaplan, LA, Clifton Broussard, Jr. (Marilyn) of Kinston, North Carolina, Dexter Broussard (Keisha) of Lafayette, LA, and Marcus Broussard (Erin) of Dallas, TX; five daughters, Tonia Francis (John) of Lafayette, LA, Pamela Derouen (Nathan) of Delcambre, LA, Phyllis Vallian (Gil) of New Iberia, LA, Anita Levy (Donald) of Abbeville, LA, and Erica James of Stafford, VA; two sisters, Lydia (Danny)of Kaplan, LA, and Elizabeth (Johnny) of Kaplan, LA; five brothers, Raymond (Tina) of Fort Worth, TX, Steve (Fannie) of Kaplan, LA, Elliott (Katherine) of Baton Rouge, LA, Danny (Caroline) of Fort Worth, TX, and Richard (Beverly) of Fort Worth, TX; twenty-seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayward and Berneda Hardy O'Brien; father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Anna Broussard; one sister, Brenda O. Shelvin; brother, Neil O'Brien; brother-in-law, Clopha Broussard; sister-in-law, Nettie B. Ozone; grandson, Darrell Paul Broussard, Jr. (Pee-Wee); niece, Kimberly O'Brien; and nephew, Patrick Sinegal.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m.
