Yvette Hebert Frederick

June 19, 1925 — February 12, 2013

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Yvette Hebert Frederick, 87, who died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Maison du Monde Living Center. She will be laid to rest at Cossinade Cemetery with Reverend Kendal Faulk officiating the services. Serving as gift bearers for the mass will be Connor and Hannah Frederick and Ian Usie. Readers for the mass will be Vanessa Adams and Maleigha Trahan. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin and Brent Trahan, Jamie and Chris Faulk, and Cody and Tyler Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie and Dale Frederick, Rogers and Mark Trahan, Conner Frederick, and Ian Usie.


Mrs. Yvette was a quiet, kind, loving person. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed all flowers, but her favorite was the rose.


She is survived by two sons, Lonnie Frederick and his wife, Bea of Duson and Dale Frederick and his wife, Terri of Lafayette; three daughters, Diane F. and her husband, Dillon Trahan of Erath, Sharon F. and her husband, Donald Faulk of Abbeville, and Patricia Frederick of Kaplan; two sisters, Anite LeMaire of Orange, Texas and Yvonne Adams of Kaplan; and eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Rogers, Mark, and Brent Trahan, Jamie and Chris Faulk, Cody, Tyler, Connor, and Hannah Frederick, and Ian Usie.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenward Frederick; one son, Rogers J. Frederick; and her parents, Avnair Hebert and the former Theoza Bertrand.


The family of Ms. Frederick would like to send special thanks to LA Hospice and Palliative Care of Jennings and the staff of Maison du Monde who took care of their mother with love and compassion.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, February 15, from 8 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
