Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of William Harold Mouton, 71, who died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services and Reverend John “Buddy” Breaux as Con-Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Ross Durke, Austin Mouton, Eric Suire, Russell Suire, Raymond Thompson, and Noah Suire. Giftbearers will be Lauren M. Edwards and Alyssa Durke.
Mr. Mouton was the owner and operator of Mouton's Roffler Family Hair in Abbeville, LA, for years. He was also a member of the Lafayette Photography Society, Louisiana National Guard, past-President of the Abbeville Jaycees, and was named State Champion of Louisiana State Hair Stylist Competition. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ethel Barras Mouton of Abbeville; son, Stuart Mouton and his wife, Troy of Abbeville; daughter, Suzanne Suire and her husband, Eric of Loreauville; grandchildren, Lauren M. Edwards and her husband, Alex of Monroe, Austin Mouton, Ross Durke, Alyssa Durke, and Noah Suire; mother, Eunice Faulk Mouton; sisters, Jennifer Trahan and Cynthia Broussard and her husband, Jimmy; brothers-in-law, Warren Barras, and his wife, Nancy, Carroll Barras and his wife, Patty, Wayne Barras and his wife, Rose, sister-in-law, Lois Thompson and her husband, Raymond; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Mouton; and infant brother, Samuel Mouton.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, March 04, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for church.
