Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home Chapel, honoring the life of Joseph “J.C.” C. Gaspard, 76, who died Monday March 17, 2008 at his residence.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Kendal Faulk officiating the services.
He is survived by two daughters, Darla Gaspard Romero and Michelle Gaspard both of Erath; a son, Joseph C. Gil of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, Kacey Richardson, Sean Clay, Courtney Trahan, Christie Trahan, Johneshia Allen and McKenize Allen; two brothers, Leonce Gaspard of Kaplan and Nelson Gaspard of Cow Island; and a sister, Gladys G. Stepp of Port Neches, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clercy Gaspard; mother, Agnes Monceaux Gaspard; and three brothers, Preston, Andrew and Oliver Gaspard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Tuesday March 18, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and reopen Wednesday March 19, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
