Eleanor Ann Dubois

November 3, 1924 — April 10, 2013

Eleanor Ann Dubois, 88, born on November 3, 1924 in Springdale, Arkansas, long time resident of Abbeville, Louisiana, currently resided in Longview, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2013. Private graveside service will be held at St. Paul's Cemetery in Abbeville, Louisiana on Saturday, April 20th. It will be officiated by Reverend L.C. "Bucky" Faggard of High Island, Texas.

Her youth was spent on the family farm in Springdale, Arkansas. Ann worked for many years with Western Union traveling through Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. It was in Louisiana where she met her husband of 63 years, Jean Ray Dubois. They spent many years moving up and down the coast of Texas because Ray worked for Amoco Production Company, always returning home to Abbeville.

Ann was a loving, supportive mother to Kathy, Ray Lee and Jude. She sewed many of their clothes and attended numerous sporting events. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, as well as all of her nieces and nephews and her children's friends. She treated all of them like family.

She was MawMaw to Brian, Joshua, Maryann, Lindsey, Ryan, Jordan, Jacob and Jason. She was Old MawMaw to Alexia, Sadie, Landon, Mason, Kayley, Brooke, Allison, Katie, Harlie, Brody, Griffin and Colton.

She was a Member of the Daughters of the America Revolution, the Girl Scouts of America, numerous PTA's, and the LOL's (Little Old Ladies) club in Longview.

She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Dubois Johnson of California and her sons Ray Lee Dubois and Jude Wayne Dubois, his wife Natalie of Longview, Texas, eight Grandchildren and twelve Great Grandchildren, sisters, Margaret Goodart of Avoca, Arkansas, and Carolyn Sarratt of Springdale, Arkansas, brother, Thomas Wobbe and his wife Joyce of Las Cruces, New Mexico, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jean Ray Dubois, her daughter-in-law, Avilou "Lulu" Dubois, her parents, Harry Lee and Ruth Wobbe, and her sister, Mary Lou Johnson.
